Freedom Seal

TOGETHER CREATING SLAVE-FREE SUPPLY CHAINS

The Freedom Seal is a visual marker of “freedom” from human trafficking, developed in conjunction with world thought and supply chains experts leaders and through collaboration with approximately 30 major companies across Europe and North America, including representing a market cap of one trillion dollars. In 2015, dti™ was the first company awarded the Freedom Seal after applying and proving our qualifications for it in 2014.

The Tronie Foundation Freedom Seal was granted to dti™ based on our company’s dedication and belief in meeting the following three objectives: (1) actively raising awareness of modern-day slavery: (2) building local capacity to support human-trafficking survivors; and (3) establishing systems to prevent slavery in our own products and services.

Through the Freedom Seal, The Tronie Foundation is helping to drive demand for a new type of market. Our seal system gives businesses a public facing label to enhance transparency. Currently, most existing systems only address labor issues and focuses only on conditions in a facility, factory or work place at the final stage of production. Many existing certification systems only address environmental harms but do not include anti-trafficking measures in their standards.

If a business complies with our standards, they earn the Freedom Seal. The seal then helps consumers identify which companies do not depend on slave labor and make informed purchasing decisions.
